Use at Your Own Risk

The Swift Link & Steady Link (patent pending) paddleboard straps are two distinct products with different intended uses:

• Swift Link uses top-mounted magnetic quick-connect connections designed to link and detach in seconds. It is intended for connecting paddleboards on calm water and, subject to the mandatory requirements in the "Approved Water Conditions" section below, on rivers and moving water.
• Steady Link uses connections on both the top and bottom of the boards to create a stable platform. It is intended solely for calm, flat water. Steady Link must be attached on land before entering the water and disconnected on land after exiting the water. Steady Link must NEVER be used on rivers, rapids, or any moving water.

By using these straps, you acknowledge and accept the following:

• Always ensure the straps are properly fastened to each individual paddleboard first and tightened before use. Once the straps are properly placed on the individual paddleboards, you can then connect the boards together using either the Swift Link or Steady Link connectors.
• Regularly inspect your straps for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction. Do not use if compromised in any way.
• Improper use or failure to secure the straps correctly may result in injury, property damage, or loss of equipment. Straps are not intended to be used as a life-saving device.
• These straps are not intended for lifting, towing, or any load-bearing activity beyond attaching paddleboards together. Never use these straps to tether, tow, or secure a person, and never attach any strap to your body or another person's body.
• The manufacturer and/or seller is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from the misuse, improper installation, or failure of these straps.
• Due to the nature of outdoor activities and their reliance on weather and other unpredictable factors, the purchaser is responsible for the correct use of the equipment.
• Sunlit Outdoor Supply LLC, the seller, is not liable for injuries, property damage, or death resulting from the use of the equipment, even if the equipment is used as intended.

Connection Release Behavior — Read Before Use

The Swift Link and Steady Link connectors are designed for quick, intentional disconnection. You should be able to separate linked boards rapidly at any time.

In moving water, waves, wind, or current, forces on the connection can exceed the rated strength of the buckles. The connection may separate suddenly and without warning under these loads. This is a design characteristic of the product, not a defect. Never rely on the connection remaining fastened, and never use the connection in any situation where unexpected separation of the boards could cause injury or danger.

Approved Water Conditions

Swift Link

Swift Link may be used on calm, flat water without restriction beyond the general warnings in this document.

If using Swift Link on any river, rapid, or moving water, ALL of the following are mandatory:

• You must use TWO sets of Swift Link straps — two separate connection points between the boards. Never enter moving water with boards linked by a single strap or single connection point.
• Both straps must be tightened to even, equal tension. Uneven or loose straps concentrate the entire force on a single connection point and greatly increase the chance of sudden separation or equipment failure.
• Before entering any moving water, you must familiarize yourself with the Swift Link quick-release function and practice connecting and disconnecting the boards on calm water until you can release the connection quickly and without looking.
• Boards must be connected closely together with no significant gap between them, and no slack webbing at or below the water line.
• All riders must wear a U.S. Coast Guard–approved PFD.
• Be prepared for the connection to separate at any time. Never depend on the boards remaining linked in moving water.

Steady Link

NEVER use Steady Link on moving water of any kind — including rivers, rapids, whitewater, surf, breaking waves, or strong current. No exceptions.

Steady Link connects to the top and bottom of the boards and is designed to be attached on land before launching and disconnected on land after landing. It cannot be released quickly while on the water. Using Steady Link in moving water creates a serious risk of entrapment, entanglement, capsize, injury, or death.

Warnings and Safety Precautions

General Warnings

• Stand-up paddling is a dangerous sport. Use of this product exposes the user to unexpected risks, dangers and hazards.
• NEVER use Steady Link on moving water of any kind, including rivers, rapids, whitewater, surf, breaking waves, or strong current. Steady Link must be attached on land and disconnected on land, and is for calm, flat water only.
• Swift Link may be used on rivers and moving water ONLY in full compliance with the mandatory requirements in the "Approved Water Conditions" section of this document, including the use of two sets of straps with even tension and prior practice with the quick-release function.
• Entanglement hazard: straps between linked boards create an entanglement risk for anyone in the water. Boards must be connected so they sit closely together with no significant gap between them. Keep straps snug — never allow slack webbing at or below the water line — and never position yourself, or allow another person, between linked boards while in current or moving water.
• Always use extreme caution when using this product. Never act in a careless manner when using this product. Misuse of this product may result in serious injury or death.
• Only use this product as directed. It is not intended to be used as a life-saving device, rescue device, or tow line.
• You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of others around you when using this product. Swift Links are assembled in a way that allows boards to be disconnected from each other quickly.
• If you are under the age of 18, you must have a legal guardian read these warnings and safety precautions. Minors using linked boards must be under the direct, on-water supervision of an adult at all times.
• Do not use this product if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications that impair your ability to use it correctly.
• Cold water increases risk. In cold water conditions, unexpected separation of boards or a fall between linked boards is more dangerous. Use additional caution and appropriate thermal protection.

Important Safety Rules

• Before using this product, inspect it for any flaws. Buckles and magnetic locks should be inspected as well.
• If you are not experienced in stand-up paddleboarding, you should not use this product.
• Always wear a U.S. Coast Guard–approved PFD (personal flotation device) when using this product on your SUP. This product is not intended to be used as a life-saving device.
• Examine your Swift Link or Steady Link straps before and after each use for any damage. Replace if damaged.
• When using two straps between boards, keep both straps evenly tightened at all times. On moving water, two sets of straps with even tension are mandatory — see "Approved Water Conditions."
• Always paddle with an experienced partner when using this product.
• Only use this product as it is intended.

Release of Liability, Claim Waiver, and Assumption of Risk

Release of Waiver and Claims Agreement

In consideration of your use of this product you agree to the following, to the fullest extent permitted by law:

• To waive any and all claims that you have or may have in the future against Sunlit Outdoor Supply LLC, or any of its agents, resulting from the use of this product and any of its components.
• To release Sunlit Outdoor Supply LLC, or any of its agents, from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury or expense that you or any users of this product may suffer, or that your next of kin may suffer, as a result of the use of this product, due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence or breach of contract on the part of Sunlit Outdoor Supply LLC, or any of its agents, in the design or manufacturing of this product.

Arbitration

In further consideration of the sale to you of this product and any of its components, you hereby agree to submit to binding arbitration any and all claims which you believe you may have against Sunlit Outdoor Supply LLC, or any of its agents, arising from the use of this product. The arbitration shall be pursuant to the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration shall commence within one (1) year from the date on which any alleged claim first arose. The submission to the American Arbitration Association shall be limited and the arbitration award may be enforced by any court of competent jurisdiction.

Binding Effect of Agreement

In the event of your death or incapacity, this Agreement shall be effective and binding upon your heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns and representatives.

Entire Agreement

By entering into this Agreement, you are not relying on any oral or written representations other than what is set forth in this Agreement.

Assumption of Risk

By purchasing and using this product, you are agreeing to:

• Be bound by the terms set forth above and below.
• Require anyone using this product to be bound by such terms.
• If you are unwilling to be bound by these terms, return this product before use for a full refund.

Use of this product and any of its components involves certain inherent risks, dangers and hazards, which can result in serious personal injury, including death. By using this product you freely agree to assume and accept any and all unknown and known risks of injury from using this product. The risks inherent in using this product can be greatly reduced by abiding by and adhering to the WARNINGS AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.

Linked Boards and Vessel Classification

Strapping two or more paddleboards together — whether using the Swift Link or Steady Link straps — may cause your setup to be considered a multi-person vessel or raft under local, state, or federal boating laws.

This can carry additional legal and safety responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Carrying a U.S. Coast Guard–approved personal flotation device (PFD) for each person aboard
• Having sound signaling devices (such as a whistle)
• Using navigation lights when paddling at or near sunset, in low visibility, or after dark
• Following local boating regulations that may apply to rafts or combined watercraft

Use of this product does not exempt you from any legal classification or responsibility. It is your responsibility to know and comply with the regulations that apply in your area, as requirements may vary by location, waterway, and enforcement authority.

Sunlit Outdoor Supply LLC strongly advises all users to follow these safety precautions at all times, regardless of local requirements. These basic measures significantly reduce risk and promote a safer, more enjoyable experience on the water.

Always check your local and state boating laws before using this product to link paddleboards. Failure to follow applicable regulations may result in fines, equipment confiscation, or increased personal liability in the event of an accident.
